Multi-adventure Activities in Madrid

Madrid is not just a city with an enviable cultural agenda. Believe it or not, within an hour and a half of Madrid you’ll find several parks and protected reserves, like La Pedriza or Sierra de Guadarrama, where your group can gather to enjoy the natural paradise, filling each day with a different adventure. In this article, we suggest a variety of activities that help your group take full advantage of being outside. The Sierra de Madrid offers several rope parks, kayaking reservoirs, climbing courses, and hiking routes for all ages. 1. Rope Parks

Rope parks and tree-top adventure courses are activities that are sure to excite kids of all ages. The parks are organized by course ability level through expert determination. Students can work their way through the park, advancing course by course up to their comfort level. It is one of the multi-adventure activities most preferred by primary students and most popular for these types of school trips because of the many activities packed into one place: ziplining, climbing, etc.

  • Amazon Adventure: Amazon Adventure includes two adventure parks close to Madrid: Amazon Adventure Pelayos and Amazon Adventure Cerdecilla.
  • Forestal Park: This park is located in the Sierra Mountains, very close to Guadarrama. It includes two introductory courses, 4 family-friendly courses (for those 110cm and taller), 5 sports tracks, and one extreme course. It’s also equipped with a large zipline where you can traverse high above the Las Encinillas Reservoir.
  • De Pino a Pino: located in Navacerrada, this park contains courses for all ages, from beginner to the highest difficulty for the most adventurous; even an extreme circuit that is suspended 20 meters in the air.

2. Kayaking

Kayaking is one of the most popular multi-adventure activities, as it is easy to do and budget friendly. In the Sierra de Madrid, there are a number of reservoirs, ponds, and lakes where your group can enjoy walking and exploring by canoe or kayak. Kayaking can be done with students of primary, secondary, and high school, as it’s enjoyable for all ages. 3. Hiking

4. Climbing

Another multi-adventure activity that your students can try on their school trip to Madrid is rock climbing. They’ll undoubtedly enjoy trying the different climbing routes, fixed with harnesses to avoid any injury; or trying the bouldering areas, with different levels of difficulty on natural rock structures.
