      It is the third highest mountain in the Iberian Peninsula and is located next to other very important massifs such as the Naranjo de Bulnes or Picu Urriellu, which has a relevant history in Spanish mountaineering.<\/p>\n

      This last peak was conquered for the first time in 1904 by Pedro Pidal and his companion known as Cainejo. This ascent is considered the birth of mountaineering in the country.<\/p>\n

            The buffoons of Pr\u00eda are located near Llanes in the town of Llames de Pr\u00eda. In geology, a buf\u00f3n is basically a formation consisting of a vertical hole formed a few meters from the edge of a limestone cliff, which connects or communicates with the sea.<\/p>\n

            This formation causes that when the tide rises and the waves burst with force, it expels upwards the pulverized sea water, which generates a very peculiar sound to which it is given the name of buf\u00f3n. This column of water product of the collision of the wave with this geological formation, can reach more than 10 meters high, and the sound can be heard several kilometers away.<\/p>\n

            Another reason to visit this place is that very close by is the beautiful Guadam\u00eda beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Principality of Asturias.<\/p>\n
