Madrid is surrounded by incredible places that are little-known for many of us. Let’s make the most of our time here to visit some of them! Without forgetting about the must-sees of the capital, we will do some excursions to breathe some fresh air and get to know a bit more of the Spanish culture.

Hostel Richard Schirmann: situated in a well-connected area. From there, it will be easy for us to go to our activities and visits, either by public transport or on foot. (Subject to availability)

Discover Madrid and its surroundings – Hostel.

This program includes a wide range of diverting and educative activities that will make the students get in depth into the Spanish culture. This way, they will get a complete overview of the historical facts that have made of Madrid the city we know today. It’s a full-immersion experience, in which the participants will have to use all the linguistic resources within reach, so as to communicate and understand what is happening around them. The trip is designed as completely as possible, addressing many of the expressions of the Spanish culture: history, gastronomy, painting, urban art, music, cinema…

Moreover, our instructors, who will be accompanying the group 24/7, will also create a relaxed and participative atmosphere, where all students feel comfortable to participate, learn and enjoy. Additionally, they will always be happy to hear the teachers’ and participants’ suggestions and ready to help with any enquiry. They will also organise night activities so as to close the days in a funny way: contests, films, shows…

Doubtlessly this is the perfect program to get in love with Madrid!

Day 1

At your arrival, we will be waiting for you at Madrid Airport. From there, we will go, in out private bus, to the hostel. After lunch, we will start discovering the city with a touristic scavenger hunt that will reveal some of the secrets of the capital of Spain. Afterwards, we will go to the hostel, where we will have time to check in and relax a little bit. We will have dinner at a restaurant nearby and later, the instructors will run some funny activities to close the day in style!

Day 2

Today in the morning we will go to discover a little-known part of Madrid: we will do an Urban Art Tour around the neighbourhood of Lavapiés. A qualified guide will show us the graffitis and will explain who the artists are, as well as their motivations, meanings and technics. At lunchtime, we will go to El Retiro Park, were we will have free time to have lunch.

In the afternoon, we will go for walk around the Park, enjoy the lake and the immense gardens, visit the exhibitions at the Cristal Palace, or do some games to go deep into its history and get to know every single corner.

Once we have enjoyed every inch of this marvellous place, we will go back to the hostel and, after dinner, the instructors will be waiting for as with another of their entertaining night activities!

Day 3

Today we will have to eat a hearty breakfast… because we are going on excursion to Miguel de Cervantes’ home town: Alcalá de Henares. We will enjoy a guided visit that will take us to palaces, colleges, museums and of course the University! After lunch, we will go back to Madrid.

In the afternoon, in order to rest a little bit, we will go to the cinema to watch a Spanish film, because getting immersed in culture also means discovering the Seventh Art!

And to finish the day… what activity will have the instructors for us today?

Day 4

Before leaving Madrid, we cannot forget visiting the Prado Museum, where we will enjoy an entertaining didactic visit. Afterwards, we will go walking through the Barrio de las Letras up to the district of Sol, where we will have free time to look for a place to have lunch.

With our batteries recharged, we will go shopping to Gran Vía, where we will have free time to buy some souvenirs or even have an ice–cream enjoying the sun. We will meet again to go all together and admire the sunset from the exotic Debod Temple.

And then, as usual, our team of instructors will be ready after dinner for a very diverting activity: today we have a TV contest!

Day 5

Today, we will leave the capital again, this time we are off to Segovia. A town with so much history has a lot to offer, so we will spend all day here. In the morning, we will visit the awe-inspiring roman Aqueduct, the gothic Cathedral, the Alcazar –old residence of the Catholic Monarchs-, the Mint, placed in an ideal spot, and we will go for a walk to the Fuencisla Park. There, we will sit on the grass and enjoy the incredible views. Afterwards, we will walk along the river to go back to the town centre, where we will have free time to go shopping or to look for the best souvenirs to take home.

Finally, we will go back to Madrid and, after dinner… the instructors have prepared a little surprise!

Day 6

This amazing trip is coming to its end… so, after breakfast, we will have time to pack our things and head to the airport.

  • The trip includes a team of accompanying instructors 24/7, who will be staying at the same accommodation as the group and will be always at the participants’ disposal to make their experience excellent.
  • The program can be personalized by adding or removing activities. It can also undergo unavoidable changes, although this would always be previously communicated and agreed upon with the client.
  • The quote has been calculated on a base rate of 30 students + 2 teachers.
  • The total price can vary depending on eventual price changes by our suppliers or due to the lack of availability in the detailed accommodation.
