It is located in the former hospital of the Riotinto Company Limited. In the last century an English company managed the mining in Huelva until 1954. Touring the museum is a journey into the past and learn about the history while the railroad makes the journey.
The journey on the railroad is 12 kilometers, and will take you from the old mining basin, to places like the Rio Tinto, named after its reddish color due to the presence of heavy metals, making this river unique in the world.
