Discover Valencia in two days on an end-of-year trip.

Getting to know Valencia in two days is a fantastic idea for an end-of-year trip. If you plan and organize wisely, you will be able to visit the best places of the city in only two days and spend wonderful moments with your students.

Valencia is one of the largest cities in Spain, and offers many possibilities for tourism to satisfy everyone’s likes. Valencia is one of the most popular destinations in the country for its accessibility, variety, culture and good prices.

We would like to show you some of the must-see places you cannot miss. Also, you will be able to taste the local gastronomy with Mediterranean dishes such as paella, seafood, rice, Spanish tapas and more. Here is the suggested itinerary for two days in Valencia.

Day 1: Ciutat Vella, traditional gastronomy and Russafa neighborhood.

When you arrive in Valencia, the first thing you should do with the students is to relax and stroll through the beautiful squares of the city and get to know the old town. In this place, the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and Plaza de la Virgen are the most important part of the monumental area.

Nearby, you can visit emblematic buildings such as the Generalitat and visit the Museum of Modern Art, the North Station, the Central Market or the Lonja de la Seda.

After visiting these monuments, we invite you to walk, since there is no better way to get to know a city than walking. Throughout the tour you will appreciate corners that were not highlighted on the map, beautiful squares with unknown names, or streets that you never thought you were going to find.

Taste the local gastronomy.

Tasting the local gastronomy, starting with a real Valencian paella, is the best way to get to know Valencia in two days. Having a Valencian paella is easy, as most local restaurants offer paella on their menus. However, if you want to enjoy a paella overlooking the Mediterranean, and the budget allows it, you can visit the Playa de las Arenas restaurant.

After tasting the Valencian paella, you can move on to the Russafa neighborhood. It is an iconic neighborhood in the city, and you will fall in love with its mix of antiquity and modernism. You will find many bars and stores with a fascinating atmosphere.

At the end of the day, you can taste another delicacy of Valencian cuisine. This is the famous and traditional Valencian horchata. We are absolutely sure that your school group will love it.

Day 2: City of Arts and Sciences and beaches.

After a well-deserved rest, you can continue touring Valencia in two days. The second day starts by heading to the City of Arts and Sciences and the Oceanogràfic. As you may know, this is one of the great attractions of the city of Valencia.

It is a huge recreational center aimed at scientific and cultural dissemination. Here you can visit the huge Príncipe Felipe Museum and the incredible Oceanogràfic.

This is the largest aquarium on the European continent, considered a city within the city. In Oceanogràfic, you can watch a huge open space full of cultural, scientific and leisure interests.

If for some reason you cannot complete your visit to the City of Arts and Sciences, a fun alternative plan is to take a bike ride around the city.

A recommended bike ride is the one along the old Turia riverbed, which is now a 9-kilometer walk, surrounded by greenery and beautiful gardens that connects the City of Arts and Sciences with the Parc de Capçalera.

Valencia in two days: The beaches.

Finally on day 2, we recommend you to visit the beaches of Valencia, one of the great natural beauties of this city. The Cabanyal Beach is one of them, which you can explore easily with your students, since it is located just minutes away from the center.

The place has an impressive promenade, ideal for walking, skating, sunbathing, cycling or having a drink in the establishments in the area. If you still have time to spare, very close by is La Malvarrosa Beach, with its fine sand and crystal-clear waters.

Visiting these places, you will be able to visit the best of Valencia in 2 days, in a trip that combines history, modernity, nature and tourist attractions.
